This page explains what we collect when you use this website or work with us, why we collect it, who else handles it, and your rights.

Who we are

What we collect, and why

When you ask for a free audit. Your name, business name, phone number, email address, website, area, the services you're interested in, and your answer to the question about your marketing budget. We use it to make your audit, send it to you and contact you about it. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in replying to a request you made.

When you book a call. After you send the form, the booking link fills in your name, email and phone number for you, and Calendly then collects them with your booking time so we can call you. Those details stay in your browser until you click through to Calendly. Lawful basis: legitimate interests, as above.

When you become a client. The details we need to do the work and bill you, such as contact details, access to your accounts (never your passwords) and payment records. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your full card number. Lawful basis: our contract with you, and our legal duty to keep financial records.

When you contact us. Emails, WhatsApp messages and calls. We keep them so we can reply and keep a record of what was agreed. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.

Spam protection on the audit form. When you start filling in the audit form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you're a person and not a bot. It uses technical details such as your IP address and browser, and may set a short-lived cookie. It runs only on the audit form, only after you start filling it in, and only to keep spam out. Lawful basis: legitimate interests, keeping the form secure.

Website analytics, only if you say yes. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records how the site is used, such as which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. We use it to improve the site. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for automated decisions about you.

Who else handles your data

We use these services to run the business. Each one only gets the data it needs.

When data goes to the US, it's protected by the UK-US data bridge for providers certified under it (Google, Cloudflare and Stripe), and by the UK's approved contract terms in each provider's data processing agreement (for Calendly, the UK Addendum).

How long we keep it

• Audit requests that don't become clients: 2 years, then deleted.
• Client records: 6 years after the work ends, because UK law requires financial records to be kept that long.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, stop or limit how we use it, or move it to another provider. You can also object to how we use it. Email muhammad@awandemarketing.com and we'll reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working, and we use them without asking. Everything else waits for your yes.

Nothing that needs your yes loads until you accept. If you reject, it doesn't load at all. There's no advertising tracking on this site at the moment; if we add any, it will be listed here, and it too will wait for your yes.
